Mr Maambo said families are the building blocks of any a nation and they set foundation of the development of a country. Speaking at the Livingstone children s' village a speech rad on his behalf by deputy mayor Fred Sikazwe during the celebration of the international day of the families on Thursday under the theme 'families matter for the achievement of development goals'. By CHALI MULENGA in Livingstone MINISTRY of lands, environment and natural resources, permanent secretary Ing'tu Suba has said Government will not spared the people that engage in illegal timber trader as her ministry will crack the whip on them in the country.  Ms Suba said all the foreigners dealing in illegal timber business will be subsequently be deported adding the Zambian nationals will be sent to prison.  She said the Government will not leave any stones unturned as it cracks down on the illegal timber traders in the country. Ms Suba was speaking in Livingstone when some of the over 30 trucks impounded in southern province were offloading their timber at Government stores on Friday. Mr Livune said the Batoka hydro project will benefit Zambia and Zimbabwe would create a lot of jobs once implemented through the Zambezi River Authority (ZRA). "The Batoka North Hydro power station and Batoka South Hydro power station will generate 800 megawatts each, the Batoka North Hydro power is the one that will be on the Zambian side, in my constituency," he said. Speaking in an interview in Livingstone, he said the Batoka North Hydro power station and Batoka South Hydro power station on be in Zambia and Zimbabwean side respectively. Chamber president Miles Daka said other companies in the country should emulate the insurance company at giving back to the community. HOTEL, Catering, Tourism & Allied Workers Union of Zambia (HCTAWUZ) general secretary Michelo Chizyuka says the charging of park entry at the Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) check point to some lodges in the park in ill time as it is retrogressive to the development of the tourism sector. Mr Chizyuka said it is unfortunate that his team of negotiators that went to bargain for the salary of the workers in the park had to be charged park entry fees despite them not going for game viewing.  Speaking in an interview in Livingstone, he said the union wonders why some of these polices that do not promote tourism are encouraged to be implemented in Livingstone whose core is contributor to the town's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is tourism.
