Patriotic Front (PF) Akapelwa ward councillor Chileshe Sikazwe has disclosed that people in his ward should not worry about the development despite MP not gett9ing an MP.
Mr Sikazwe  said the roads in his ward will be worked on as the central government has provided K18 billion for the roads in Livingstone.
The Councillor said that it was disappointing in that roads in his ward despite in the main central business district, the people could put gravel on them.
He said the Government has shown commitment that development would go on and the traders in his ward need a market where to trader from.
He said the lack of trading space for the traders in Livingstone has contributed to the people being over crowded in the streets.
“People with crime minds are taking advantage of the overcrowding in the streets of Livingstone hence they are pick pocketing,” he said.
The Councillor said the issue of some criminal minds being in the streets could be sort if the traders are found an alternative market.
“The PF does want to make itself unpopular by not brining development to the city of Livingstone,” he said.
He said the only way is to decongest the streets as the city prepares for the UNWTO general assembly to held August next year in Livingstone.
The Councillor said that as councillor from the ruling party he would continue to remind the central government about the capital projects that need urgent attention in his ward.
End.
