A 53 year old bus driver has told the Livingstone High Court that he lead the complainant of the aggravated robbery to the home of the accused.

A 53 year old bus driver has told the Livingstone High Court
that he lead the complainant of the aggravated robbery to the home of the
accused.
This is in a case in which Enock Munsaka is charged with
aggravated robbery.
It is alleged that May 8,
last year in Livingstone, he jointly and whilst acting together with others
unknown robed Owen Katungu Muteba of 27 cases of Astel lite beer and 8x 5 litre
boxes cellar Cask wine altogether valued at K4,160.
William Samwata commonly known Bugi as Muteba was testifying
before, Livingstone high court judge in charge Ernest Mukulwamutiyo, Samwata
said he knew that it was the accused that the complainant was looking for after
watching the video that was taken on the day he was apprehended.
“I critically looked at the video that was being played on the
laptop, I recognised the person that was apprehended as he was one of the
drivers, who load at our bus station, I then volunteered that I was able to
take,” he said.
Samwata said before they went to the accused’s house they passed
through Livingstone central police in order to get an officer to accompany them
to Malota compound to apprehend the now accused.
“When we reached the accused’s house, I was told by the wife
that he was inside the house and the wife went inside and later said the
husband was not able to see people at that point in time. I went to the car
which we had parked by the side of the road next to the house,” he said.
Samwata said his colleges in the car refused to accept his
explanation and they forced their way into the house.
He said they found the
accused lying on the bed and ordered him to follow to the police station.
He said they took him to the police station so that the police
could carry out further investigations in the matter.
